Hockey men have to tremble after a draw

The German hockey men missed their second win in a row at the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games and now have to worry about reaching the semi-finals.

After the 9-0 opening win against Canada, the world champion couldn’t get past a 2-2 draw against New Zealand and now needs a draw in the final group game against Chile to advance to the next round.

With a win, first place in Group A would be secure. The three best-placed teams in the tournament secure tickets for the Summer Games in Paris. The goals for the German selection were scored by Gonzalo Peillat and Tom Grambusch.
