The Finnish forward says he needs a break from the ice to get back in the best possible playing condition.

Finnish forward Patrik Laine published a statement about his participation in the treatment program of the NHL and the NHL players association NHLPA.

Addressing her message to “dear fans and supporters”, Laine says that she has considered participating in the treatment program carefully.

Laine, who writes in English, says that she has discussed the matter with her support network and her team.

– I have recognized how important it is to prioritize my mental health and well-being, Laine writes.

– Ice hockey has been my passion and my life, but I have realized that I have to use this time to focus on myself in order to perform in the best possible way.

Laine says she is grateful for the support she has received.

– I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice with a bright mind and new energy, Laine writes.

– Thank you for respecting my privacy during this time and for your continued support.
