HOCHTIEF shares weaken: HOCHTIEF subsidiary Cimic takes over construction of high-voltage grid in Australia

HOCHTIEF subsidiary Cimic has been awarded the contract for the western part of the planned new Humelink high-voltage network in Australia.

The order volume amounts to more than 1.4 billion Australian dollars, as the construction company announced in Essen. UGL and CPB Contractors are to build 385 kilometers of new transmission lines and a number of other systems for the grid operator Transgrid. The construction phase of the project is expected to begin in mid-2024. Humelink will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity grid in the eastern states of Australia.

Via XETRA, the HOCHTIEF share was temporarily trading 1.36 percent lower at 101.40 euros.
