Ho Chi Minh City has 9 million inhabitants and is only now getting its first metro line

Vietnam’s largest city finally has a metro. The plans for this were drawn 17 years ago, and construction of the metro tunnel started 12 years ago. On Sunday, the first train carrying passengers passed through the tunnel, which has 14 stops, is 20 kilometers long and takes travelers from Ben Tanh Market to the Suối Tiên theme park.
