H&M appoints Public Affairs Manager for Central Europe

H&M has appointed Hendrik Heuermann as Public Affairs Manager for Central Europe.

In this position, he is responsible for public affairs for the markets of Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia, a spokeswoman for the Swedish fashion retailer confirmed to FashionUnited. The specialist magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on the personnel.

Heuermann joined H&M Germany in 2011 and took up a position in Public Relations. He then worked for H&M Germany as Sustainability Manager for seven years. During this time he was involved in the development of key figures in the field of sustainability and supervised start-up cooperations for the development of new materials.

With the new overriding role, H&M Germany’s commitment to sustainability is also “controlled at a regional level,” according to the company.

This position will be taken over by Viktor Rybkin, who was previously Sustainability Coordinator for Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
