Hjallis Harkimo’s training has stopped.
Hjallis Harkimo’s presidential election campaign has had a difficult start.
70-year-old Harkimo said at the Sports Gala that he is currently not in quite the shape he would like.
– The condition is not very strong at the moment. It was tough at the beginning of December, but this campaign has taken quite a toll, he said.
– There have been a lot of opportunities and the days are very full. Gotta focus on the exams.
Harkimo, who likes sports, is usually very active.
– I go jogging and a couple of times a week at the gym. I keep my muscles in shape. My goal is to exercise 3–4 times a week.
Fortunately, the presidential candidate has remained healthy at the turn of the year.
– There hasn’t been any flu. It’s a wonder, since I’ve met a lot of people and been everywhere.
Immobility is a big problem in Finland. Harkimo would like the matter to be talked about more. In his opinion, both children and adults need exercise.
– The young people go home to play computer games, when before we went to play the game and stayed there all evening.
– And when parents don’t exercise and start getting sick earlier, it costs us billions. We would have a lot to do on both islands.
