During the AfD demo with almost 10,000 participants on Saturday, a woman (18) and a man (44) showed the Hitler salute or the so-called bold salute at Leipziger Platz and Unter den Linden (middle).
The police reacted immediately, arrested both of them and took their personal details. A spokeswoman: “The videos that are circulating online have been secured and handed over to state security.”
There were a total of 31 arrests and 25 criminal charges for, among other things, bodily harm, insult or robbery. 1900 police officers were on duty.
Counter-demonstrators tried to block the AfD demonstration on Friedrichstrasse. “The people were removed from the road again so that the demonstrators could continue walking,” the police spokeswoman continued.
