The pedestrian who was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Alkmaar yesterday afternoon is recovering from his injuries dead. The 64-year-old man was rushed to hospital. But that was of no avail.
The pedestrian was seriously injured after a collision with a car on Thursday afternoon Vondelstraat in Alkmaar. The pedestrian tried to cross the road, but was hit by a car. Two ambulances attended the accident and took the victim to the hospital.
The pedestrian died of his injuries. The police confirm this to NH.
No alcohol or drugs
The driver of the car was taken to the station by police. That is procedure, by the way. There is no alcohol or drugs involved.
Further investigations are currently being carried out by the police.
