For the third time in a few days, a car has burned out in Assen. At De Klenckestraat in the provincial capital, a car was completely on fire just before three o’clock. Flames were already shooting out of the car when firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Two nights ago it happened twice. First a car on Nobellaan, which is a side street of De Klenckestraat, went up in flames and a little later on Begoniastraat.
Also last month, several cars burned out. There is now camera surveillance in the Pittelo district, to make residents of that district feel safer.
