FC Emmen wrote history last Friday by becoming champion for the first time since its entry into professional football. The 1-0 defeat at FC Eindhoven caused mixed feelings for five minutes, but then the 450 supporters who traveled along brought the players and technical staff back to the pink cloud at lightning speed.
View the highlights of FC Emmen’s historic 24 hours here once more. It all started in the Jan Louwers Stadium where the Drenthe club received the bowl from retired commentator Evert ten Napel, the party went on in the dressing room and until late at night on the Stadionplein in Emmen.
Of course, the beautiful tour is also well covered and the closing party on the stage in front of the stadium, culminating in the tribute to the critically ill Jasmijn Nijhuis.
