Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” only premiered in German cinemas in November (November 23, 2023). And now the film, starring Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role as the historical general Napoleon Bonaparte, is already available to stream on premium video-on-demand platforms.
The press release states the content of the action epic: “The film offers a very unique and personal perspective on Napoleon’s beginnings and his rapid rise to emperor, viewed from the perspective of his emotionally dependent, volatile relationship with his only true wife Dear Josephine (Vanessa Kirby). The film chronicles Napoleon’s famous battles, his relentless ambition and his astonishing skills as a strategist, leader and war visionary.”
