One month after the premiere on Netflix of the controversial docuseries on the death of Mario Biondo, ‘Las últimas horas de Mario Biondo’, Raquel Sánchez Silva has broken her silence. Tired of the allusions and information about her supposed involvement in the documenta, the presenter has issued a statement through her lawyers to “absolutely disassociate” from this matter.
“She has not intervened in any way in the planning, recording and production of the aforementioned series, and has not provided any information or content for its preparation,” her legal representatives maintain, ensuring that the communicator “not only rejected any form of participation and/or or intervention in that series, rather, he expressly and repeatedly stated, both to Mr. Guillermo Gómez Sancha -producer of the docuseries and his representative at the time when the idea of bringing to the small screen arose what the last hours of the Italian’s life were like- and to the executives of Netflix their frontal opposition to the production and broadcast of any series or program on the death of Mr. Biondo”.
A statement to which Mario Biondo’s family has not taken long to react. Santina, mother of the Italian cameraman who died in May 2013, He has responded to Raquel through his social networks with words as harsh as they are forceful: “But who is going to believe you?”
“His lawyers claim that his client was not involved in the making of the documentary that aired on Netflix, neither directly nor indirectly… So the ‘widow’ should explain how the pseudo-documentary ends with the same words that he sent me in an email ‘To Santina’ on July 9, 2013″, shortly before finally breaking up their relationship.
An email in which, as Santina remembers, the presenter told her “I want you to know that when I lie there I feel him next to me. I feel him take my hand and I see how he smiles.” Words that are reproduced in ‘Las últimas horas de Mario Biondo’ and that the cameraman’s mother recovers to try to prove that Raquel is lying by completely disassociating herself from the docuseries.
