The information security authorities of France and Great Britain have noticed hired hackers who steal information from law firms as a new phenomenon of online crime.

According to official reports, the parties to the lawsuit are hiring hackers to steal data from the opposing side of the lawsuit. Stolen information can influence judicial processes.

– Hackers for hire are used to gain an advantage in business negotiations or legal disputes, UK Cyber ​​Security Center NCSC stated in its report.

Hackers from India

In its report, the French cyber security authority ANSSI referred to a report published by Reuters last year to the article stating that hackers are mainly hired from India. Hackers are hired for high-level cases in the United States and Europe, for example.

According to Reuters, the activities of Indian hackers are highly organized and have been active for several years. Their target has been approximately 1,000 lawyers from a total of 108 law firms around the world.
