More from rappers who don’t take a hard stance, but rather give really personal insights.
This time: Megan Thee Stallion returns with a new solo track and shares more about her emotional world, personal experiences and generally her more vulnerable side. Futurebae also provides plenty of output with her debut work BLA (BERLIN LOVE AFFAIR) and explores the advantages and disadvantages of love life in the capital over the length of the album. Megan Thee Stallion – “Cobra”
“Cobra” is not only the US rapper’s first solo single in a year, but also the first release on the independent label Hot Girl Productions. In the track, Megan Thee Stallion gives insights into her inner self. She reveals that she suffers from depression and how much she misses her deceased parents. With the song she wants to learn to let go and make a new start. The 28-year-old also sums up past vices. Appropriately, in the “Cobra” video, the musician shows herself trapped in a glass showcase in which she peels off her “old skin”.
“Ayy, damn, I got problems/Never thought a bi*** like me would ever hit rock bottom/Man, I miss my parents, way too anxious/always cancel my plans”
Badchieff feat. Endzone – “YOU’RE MISSING!!!”
Rapping to an electronic beat from Endzone Bad chief about his heartbreak. The producer might sound familiar to some, as Endzone also made the instrumental for Ski Aggu’s “Disco Party Cream”. “DU FEHLST!!!” also has a similar flow. In the track, Badchieff talks about moments of loneliness and dealing with a sudden breakup.
“Every time I fall asleep and you’re missing it hurts / I’m here and you’re there, please tell me how long this will last / And every time, every time I think it’s not too late “
Futurebae – BLA (BERLIN LOVE AFFAIR)
After Futurebae gave a third taste of their debut album on Monday (October 30th) with the title song “BLa*_*”, the entire work has now been released. On a total of ten songs, the artist looks back on her personal experiences in Berlin and also explains the vicious circle of lovers in which injured people also hurt others. Accordingly, the title song is about the toxic relationship with a person who doesn’t really appreciate you. The song addresses the dilemma of not being able to let go of the other despite everything.
“Why do I have to share you with a thousand possibilities / Always leave everything open between yes and no / And maybe you love me / I can’t manage too much back and forth anymore / All this for a Berlin Love Affair”
The P feat. Shanel – “Last Night”
On a beat by Norrey Boo, Die P raps about her hustle and successes in the rap scene. She also includes Shanel as a feature on the track, who lyrically underlines her passion for hip hop.
