Hindrance at work between R8 and A19 in Wevelgem
This year, a total of 42 construction sites will be working on our highways. All this together will be good for about 81 kilometers of new or renewed road surface, not counting Oosterweel. The road works also mean a lot of traffic jams. In our province, the most disruption is expected at the Trompet connection between the R8 and A19 in Kortrijk. For example, traffic between Kortrijk and Ypres is diverted via the E17 and E403 past the Aalbeke complex. The inner and outer ring of the R8 will in turn be closed alternately for a while and the entrance and exit Gullegem – Moorsele in the direction of Kortrijk will be closed for a while. The works will start this summer and will last about two years.
