FOOTBALL – NAC Breda has immediately removed former FC Emmen player Jeredy Hilterman from the selection. During the FC Emmen championship party, he told Emmen’s supporters and ESPN that he had made a mistake by going to NAC and leaving FC Emmen during the winter break.
On stage, Hilterman said: “I’m only human, I made a mistake.” After which the supporters shouted that Hilterman had to return to Emmen. “I think I left a good future here, even if it was short-lived. This club will always be in my heart. My feeling is with Emmen.”
Those statements went down the wrong way at his current employer NAC Breda. NAC says in a statement that it has removed Hilterman from the selection with a view to the play-offs. “His behavior does not help in the group process of reaching and being successful in the play-offs,” the club said. It is not known for how long Hilterman will be kept out of the selection.
