Clinton posted a photo of herself laughing and dancing in a club. The photo was taken in Colombia in 2012. “Here I am in Cartagena when I was there for a visit as Secretary of State. Keep dancing @marinsanna,” Clinton captioned the photo.
Clinton was United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013 under then-President Barack Obama.
Marin responded with a tweet thanking the former first lady of the United States, followed by a heart emoji.
The Finnish prime minister came under fire in his own country after a party video leaked in which she could be seen. In the film, 36-year-old Marin dances and sings in a private home, together with befriended and famous Finns. It is unclear who made the images public.
Critics called her partying inappropriate for a government leader and there were rumors that she had used drugs. However, a drug test that Marin had taken was negative.
