Franziska Hildebrand lost her third World Cup victory due to a mistake on the last shot. The 28-year-old finished second behind Gabriela Soukalova at the Biathlon Home World Cup in Ruhpolding on Saturday, but would have won the race without a mistake. After 12.5 kilometers Hildebrand was 13.9 seconds behind the Czech. Laura Dahlmeier was third, only 24.4 seconds behind the leader despite two penalties. Maren Hammerschmidt rounded off the strong team result in fifth place (1/+ 37.9 seconds). Miriam Gössner was 16th, directly followed by Vanessa Hinz.
