From 1 April 2023, around 20,000 residents in residential care centers will receive a higher monthly care budget. On average, this is an extra 125 euros per month, for residents with the Income Guarantee for the Elderly (IGO) it is 214 euros extra per month. Residents who are already entitled to the care budget will automatically receive the higher amount. This is reported by Flemish Minister of Welfare Hilde Crevits (CD&V).
