“Numerous pyrotechnic incidents”
High fine for Cup winner Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart won the cup final in May against Underdog Arminia Bielefeld. Nevertheless, the club has a high fine.
The VfB Stuttgart has been fined after the incidents in the DFB Cup final. As the German Football Association announced on Wednesday, the Bundesliga club has to pay 350,000 euros. The reason is “numerous pyrotechnic incidents” in the VfB block during the game against Arminia Bielefeld on May 24th in the Berlin Olympic Stadium, the Stuttgart won 4-2.
The association has appealed against the judgment. According to the DFB, Stuttgart can invest up to 116,700 euros of punishment in its own security or prevention measures.
Final opponent Bielefeld was also subsequently prosecuted: the second division team received a punishment of 48,035 euros due to the burning of pyrotechnics by club supporters.
