Last week, Brussels Minister of Environment Alain Maron (Ecolo) announced that the Vivaqua was detecting PFAS in 2020, the concentrations were not higher than 100 nanograms per liter, according to the European standard Brussels wants to set up, I’m going to over-screet nergens.

Maar volgens Brussels parliamentslid Christophe De Beukelaer van oppositionpartij Les Engagés Gelden voor de four gevaarlijkse PFAS wél high concentrations. “The PFAS4 level in the reservoir of Sint-Genesius-Rode is very high in the German norm (2 ng/l) and in the drempel the vast amount will be in Vlaanderen (4 ng/l),” says Hij in the krant. In October 2021, the concentration of PFAS4 was above 6.9 ng/l. The reservoir provides long-term support for the Brussels huishoudens of drinking water.

In the reservoirs of Ukkel and Eigenbrakel (Callois) the concentration is also higher than the German standard, so the storage can be stored.
