Hesaäjä is known as an unbridled junta popper, and no one knew what was hidden under a smile

Hesaäjä is known for his raucous songs and somevideos, but who is he really?

7300 days From the terrace to the flight and The sauna is warming up The well-known singer Hesaäjä aka Marios Kleovoulou, 35, has been shouting at nightclub and festival celebrants for years. He is known for his flashy humor as a positive character whose songs are added to playlists on cottage weekends and evenings.

But who is Marios Kleovoulou and what kind of life does he live?

Kleovoulou is a current Espoo resident born in Cyprus in 1986. Her Finnish mother fell in love with a local man on a holiday trip and the singer got her start. Three years later, Kleovoulou’s parents divorced and he moved with his mother to Rauma, where he is still strongly identified as a resident.

As a child, Kleovoulou was a lively and outspoken rogue who enjoyed laughing at other people and having fun. During the 2015 World Hockey Championships, he sent a sketch video he photographed to the Whatsapp team, where he was encouraged to post a video for all to see on social media.

Kleovoulou ended up making a Facebook account for his sketch videos called Hesaäijä. The name was formed by his way of harassing his barefoot Helsinki colleagues by calling Helsinki Hesa. Already in the first month, the identifiable sketches had amassed a huge number of followers, and Kleovoulou ended up in the newspaper columns for interviews.

Kleovoulou wrote songs for the artists at Mökkitie Records and the idea arose that he would start releasing music as Hesaäija. The so-called honest junior disco was chosen as the genre.

– I don’t think you should be afraid of terms like junta disco and landepönde. They are terms and bounds invented by the Hezesites that outside the perimeter of the third are all lands. I am just that and I am the proud one.

– Life should not be taken so seriously! Kleovoulou smiles.

Despite his bold attitude, Kleovoulou may be so excited about his gigs that he gets tired of stress and takes a nap in the back room.

– Then when I get on that stage, everything is forgotten and I feel that I should be where I should be. It’s an exciting thing, but going on stage and performing comes so naturally, Kleovoulou says.

Infertility

Kleovoulou is still active on social media, although music over the years has made sketching the main focus of his career. He also wants to tell about his private life on his social media channels, but says that the most personal things and difficult aspects of life belong to him.

Kleovoulou’s life recently included a darker period of three years that wasn’t visible to his fans.

Kleovoulou has always wanted children. A few years ago, he and his wife began trying their first child and realizing their dream of a family together. However, there was no offspring despite the companies.

– It was tiring, scary and mentally shattering. It is in hopes and thoughts every month. According to it, everything is scheduled and scheduled on a calendar. We took all the tests and found nothing. Stress always rose but thinking about why everything is due. The further it always went on, the more desperate the thoughts became, Kleovoulou says seriously.

– It felt really inhumane. It felt like I had failed. That’s the kind of “you have one job” type of disappointment, Kleovoulou says.

The process took three long years, which were mentally difficult for the two of them. Kleovoulou says the hardest part in those years was seeing his wife suffer.

At some point, Kleovoulu and his wife decided to stop stressing about having a child and hand over the fate of the matter. They accepted the fact that they would never ever have a baby. The couple also told their close circle about their infertility, which felt liberating for both of them.

Shortly after the decision was made, a smile appeared on the pregnancy test.

– After all, it was just … Kleovoulou mutes with sensitivity.

– We finally got it in our ashes story, he smiles.

Fatherhood changed lives

Kleovoulou is now the father of a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, which has set new priorities for Kleovoulou’s life.

– It happened at the point where the child was first seen. It was such a bloody and slimy clump, but that’s where everything changed. I swore love right away, Kleovoulou laughs.

Kleovoulou has always been, and still is, a passing man, but becoming a child has become the top priority of his life. Instead of going to nightclubs, he now more often goes to the playground and laughs that he is more tired than before. The energy of partying has now been shifted to playing with the child and running after it. However, Kleovoulou and his wife are confident that in order to maintain the balance of the infant family, they will both have to take turns out to reset.

The singer’s coming months will be busy, as she has sold out her gig calendar all summer long. He just released his new song Jump aboardwhich will be heard at upcoming gigs all over Finland.
