Wilfred Genee hands out a big stab under water to Beau van Erven Dorens. He thinks his talk show colleague is a mediocre interviewer. “It’s really bad middle of the road.”
The media quarrel between Beau van Erven Dorens and Wilfred Genee flares up again in all its intensity. Beau called Wilfred in RTL Boulevard on Monday ‘undeniably one of the most horrible people I have ever encountered in my life’. And that sneer now leads to a reaction from the other party.
Completely upset
Wilfred is in the section In The Hallways asked about Beau’s swipe. “Oh, you. I was totally blown away when I read it. Yes, no, that’s hard for me again,” he jokes.
The quarrel between the gentlemen once started when Wilfred interviewed his colleague very spicy. The presenter about that: “Beau has a very different style than I have, right? If you put Beau here at the table, I think you’ll get a different program, right? If you let Beau take my place. Everyone has a different style and I’m fine with it.”
Middle of the road
What does he think of Beau? “I think he’s a nice colleague, Beau. I have no problem with Beau. It always makes me laugh a lot. We have a slightly different style. You always have to do what you’re good at and what works for you, right? I can’t do that, middle-of-the-road interviews. I just can’t do that.”
Well, that’s a spicy sneer. Wilfred therefore finds Beau very boring as a talk show host. Colleague Merel Ek: “How about that stab under the water, for which you are so famous?”
Wilfred: “No, but I really can’t! I just can’t!”
Very pretty
Merel notices that Wilfred pretends his hard sneer is a compliment. Laughing: “Oh, you think it’s really pretty?”
Wilfred: “Yes, I think it’s really great of people who can do that. They sit down and ask the questions you see coming. And then the interview will run, but nothing much ever happens, I think. However?”
Laughing, he concludes with some of those middle-of-the-road questions: “What are your plans for the future? Did you expect it? haha.”
