Prime Minister Mark Rutte has been spotted at Schiphol. Not by spies of Yvonne Coldeweijer, but by former 3FM boss Wilbert Mutsaers. “He was just standing in line behind us!”
The summer queues at Schiphol are notorious. CO2 tokkies like Nikkie Plessen are not bothered by it, but the vast majority of people just have to join in at the back. And Prime Minister Mark Rutte also does not opt for preferential treatment, former 3FM boss Wilbert Mutsaers has discovered. “He was just behind us!”
Rutte in line
Wilbert, who currently works at Spotify, was a bit surprised. His children had their picture taken with the Prime Minister. “We are going on holiday and Mark Rutte wanted to come with us! Nope, but he was just standing right behind us in line (and remembered me from the 3FM time). Anyway, off we go!”, he says on his facebook.
Did the Prime Minister stand in line for hours? Yes, says Wilbert. “We were in the same line yes, just like everyone else, and just got through it. An hour and a half, neat.”
“In what other country?”
One Jan thinks it is special that Rutte is waiting in line. “In what other country does the prime minister just stand in line at the airport?”
Wilbert: “Well, that’s exactly what I thought.”

For the stage
The photo of the waiting Rutte was also shown in RTL Boulevard yesterday. “The Prime Minister of this country, Mark Rutte of the VVD, also went on holiday.
