Rutger Castricum continues to score very poorly with his program De Tijd van Ons Leven on NPO 1. “As a program maker, that will keep you awake at night,” says TV expert Tina Nijkamp.
In the four-part series De Tijd van Ons Leven, Rutger Castricum and Chatilla van Grinsven compete against the best time trialists in the world, but especially against themselves, for more than four months. Can they, with the support of renowned cycling experts, transform themselves into time trialists of a professional level in just a few months?
Rutger scores badly
Rutger managed to charm only 345 thousand viewers (8 percent market share) on NPO 1 yesterday with the third episode, the largest channel in the Netherlands. Immediately before, Flikken Rotterdam attracted 1.1 million viewers (21 percent) and immediately after, Op1 had 654 thousand (19 percent).
Really dramatic, says former SBS 6 boss Tina Nijkamp. “At 9.30 p.m., the big NPO 1 just barely makes the top 25 and they are overtaken by NPO 2, RTL 4, SBS 6 and RTL 5. Even many early evening shows such as Lang Leve de Liefde have more viewers.”
Lay awake
It is inevitable that Rutger will have a very difficult time with this today, according to Tina. “As a broadcaster and program maker, that will keep you awake at night. Fortunately, De Tijd van Ons Leven with Rutger Castricum only consists of 4 and not 8 episodes…”
Due to the poorly scoring Rutger, Op1 also scored disappointingly. “Op1 is suffering from the poor influx, but it is VERY striking that they were only number one on Wednesday. That is not a good score for the largest channel in the country.”
Got Talent wins
The big winner in prime time yesterday was Holland’s Got Talent with 1.4 million viewers (27 percent) on RTL 4. Furthermore, NPO 2’s Twee voor Twaalf (1.3 million and 23 percent) and Flikken Rotterdam were the most popular.
SBS 6 still gets 820 thousand viewers (19 percent) with Today Inside and NPO 2’s Nieuwsuur had 620 thousand (14 percent).
