With the 1-0 friendly win against Eintracht Braunschweig, Hertha said goodbye to their Christmas break on Wednesday in front of 400 fans at the Hanns-Braun-Stadion.

The goal of the day was scored by Chidera Ejuke (24) in the 60th minute.

Curious: When the stadium announcer announced the goal, assist provider and social media star Nader El-Jindaoui (26) received more applause than the goal scorer.

Striking: Hertha was missing many professionals!

Above all Linus Gechter (18). The central defender just watched against his new club Braunschweig, to whom he will be loaned out for the next six months.

Vladimir Darida (32) was also missing from the squad. The Czech is about to move to Aris Saloniki. Mittelstädt, Selke and Pekarik were out with minor injuries. This trio is also allowed to go in offers.

Maolida, Kanga, Uremovic, Rogel, Plattenhardt, Jovetic, Ngankam, Lee and Nsona were also absent with injuries and a lack of training.

Hertha’s pros are now on vacation until the start on January 2nd.
