Fredi Bobic has described the final phase of the summer transfer window as “exciting” and “crazy”.
The 50-year-old Hertha manager reported at a press conference on Thursday that many players would be offered these days.
“You always think you can still get the big bargains at the back,” said Bobic. “It’s getting hotter every day.”
One reason for this is, for example, the clubs that failed to qualify for an international competition and now have to part with players, while others would do it again.
“It’s a crazy time that I would like to shorten to August 1st,” emphasized Bobic.

But that would not be possible in Europe, he admitted immediately afterwards. The most dangerous thing at the moment is “losing a really good player and not being able to fill it,” stressed Hertha’s sporting director.
