The license is finally here, the planning for the mission resurgence is in full swing!
In his written analysis, Hertha coach Pal Dardai (47) explained what types of players he needs for the new season in order to make a direct return to the Bundesliga. In addition to a defender and defensive midfielder, the list also includes an attacker and a dangerous offensive player.
Target Arslan and Avdijaj
The Berliners have been dealing with two players for a long time: offensive all-rounder Ahmet Arslan (29) and attacker Donis Avdijaj (26)! Andreas “Zecke” Neuendorf (48/director of the license player department) is said to have already had talks with the consultants.
Who are the candidates?
► Arslan was loaned from Kiel to Dresden last season, played an outstanding season, scored 25 goals and prepared 9 more. But he won’t stay with the regional league, he wants to take the next step.
Arslan: “I have to make this decision not only for myself, but also for my family.” Means: Hertha would have to agree with Kiel, where he is under contract until 2024, about a possible change and the transfer fee (almost 250,000 euros).
► Wandervogel Avdijaj, who has been under contract with 11 clubs, recently caused a sensation at TSV Hartberg – 16 games, 7 goals, 5 assists. He was also only on loan from the Austrians and has a contract with FC Zurich until 2025. Avdijaj wants to go back to Germany and can go for 400,000 euros.
The change of winger Fabian Reese (25) and talent Gustav Christensen (18) are already fixed. Keeper Marius Gersbeck (27) is about to be signed, and negotiations have already been held with midfielder Diego Demme (31).
