There is talk of a three-year contract. Kenny’s contract with hometown club Everton expires on June 30 – he would be free for Hertha.
Kenny is well known to Bundesliga fans: the Englishman was loaned to Schalke in 2019/2020 and played 34 competitive games for the Royal Blues, scoring two goals and three more.
At Hertha, Kenny could solve the permanent construction site on the right side of defense. Most recently, veteran Peter Pekarik (35) extended there, jewel Julian Eitschberger (18) is to be gradually integrated into the professional team – Kenny would be an immediate help.
Kenny’s strengths lie primarily in the game against the ball. A few years ago, the former England U21 international named ex-Bayern professional Philipp Lahm (38) as a role model.

In the past season, Kenny was used only irregularly. The year before he was loaned to Celtic Glasgow to Scotland. Now he could dare a fresh start at Hertha!
