Hertha grabs a man with a lot of second division experience!
Jeremy Dudziak (27) moves from Greuther Fürth to the capital. He is the fourth new Berliner after Fabian Reese, Gustav Christensen and Marius Gersbeck.
Dudziak knows the league and played a total of 156 games in the lower house for St. Pauli, HSV and Fürth. There are also 25 Bundesliga appearances for Fürth and BVB. Most recently, Dudziak was loaned out to Hatayspor in Turkey, but returned to Germany prematurely because of the severe earthquake in the spring.
Sports director Benjamin Weber (43): “Jeremy is an experienced and versatile player who has his strengths as a full-back and can be used in a variety of ways in midfield.” Hertha urgently needs to take action, especially in the left-back position.
Dudziak: “I’m flexible and can be deployed in several positions. When I was young I mostly played in midfield, but I took my first steps with the pros as a left-back – and that’s where I still feel most comfortable.”
