Three lost games in one week, the departure of the sports director and the end of the winter transfer period have been a big part of Hertha BSC’s preparation for the next game in the Bundesliga.
“Of course those were turbulent days,” said Hertha coach Sandro Schwarz at a press conference on Thursday, “we now have to radiate calm again over a long period of time and focus on Saturday.” After the three defeats after the winter break, the Berliners are going as Table penultimate in the game at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky).
“We got over the first two defeats very well, but made a few mistakes too many,” said the coach about the 1:3 defeat in Bochum and the bitter 0:5 against Wolfsburg.
The 2-0 home defeat in the local derby against Union Berlin and the subsequent separation from Fredi Bobic made things more difficult for Schwarz. “What happened on Saturday, you have to let it sink in first,” said the 44-year-old.
“I have respect for my team, how they approached the last two days of training,” said Schwarz about his team with regard to the three setbacks in the relegation battle and the accompanying circumstances, “it would be cool if you could see that on the pitch on Saturday.”
Black puts a lot of faith in his team to add more points to the previous 14 points:
“We know the table situation. We’re on the relegation zone, but the boys are capable of winning games.”
