Hertha coach Magath remains convinced of Boateng

Berlin (AP) – Hertha coach Felix Magath continues to assign an important role to Kevin-Prince Boateng.

“I am convinced that Prince in Hamburg – and also for the future of Hertha BSC – will be and remain a decisive factor,” said the 69-year-old in an interview with “Bild”.

The coach denied a previous dispute with the veteran. “The issue is not an issue,” said Magath, “we, Prince and I, will discuss together how he is most valuable for our Hertha in the second leg.”

After the disappointing 1-0 defeat in the relegation first leg against Hamburger SV, the coach is hoping for greater compactness, effectiveness and aggression in the second leg on Monday in Hamburg (8.30 p.m./Sat.1 and Sky). “But one thing has to be clear to everyone: The 90 minutes are all about Hertha BSC,” said Magath.
