Recently extended for a year
Kevin-Prince Boateng has announced that he wants to end his career after the 2022/23 season. The 35-year-old offensive player (quoted via “RBB‘) said at the Hertha BSC training camp in Kienbaum on Tuesday: ‘I can tell you here and now that this is definitely my last season. I’ll do everything again for the club, for myself too. And then it’s over.”
Boateng returned to his youth club in 2021 after 14 years and 13 stops in five countries. After staying up in the league, the former German junior and Ghanaian senior extended his contract by another year until June 30, 2023.
Over the entire last season, it was enough for the “Old Lady” to play 21 games. “I’ve always said how special this club is for me – and showed it on and off the pitch. I feel good, I’m hungry and I’m in the mood to continue playing with the boys,” said Boateng a few days ago when signing.
