Hertha BSC has summer transfer in mind

According to a media report, second division soccer team Hertha BSC is already planning its squad for the coming season.

Hertha BSC has winger Elayis Tavsan from NEC Nijmegen on the hook, reports “Bild”. The 22-year-old is a candidate for a move in the summer of 2024.

Because: Tavsan would then be available for free as his working paper with the Dutch first division club expires at the end of June 2024.

According to the report, the Berliners’ chances of signing the attacker could be quite good. The youngster is said to have been in the capital for talks as early as December.

The 1.83 meter tall right winger was trained by Sparta Rotterdam in their youth ranks. In 2020 he took the step to NEC Nijmegen, and since then he has scored 25 goals and 17 assists in 118 competitive games. In the current Eredivisie season he was able to contribute two goals in eight games; at the start of the season he was slowed down by an injury.

For Oranje, Tavsan has played in all the junior national teams since the U17 in recent years. He made his U21 debut in March 2022, but he has not yet received a call-up for the senior national team.

Is Reese leaving Hertha BSC?

Meanwhile, Elayis Tavsan will be particularly interesting for Hertha BSC if winger Fabian Reese leaves the club.

With his four goals and seven assists in 16 second division games, the Hertha professional has been the difference player at Hertha BSC so far. However, as coach Pal Dardai recently indicated, he could probably leave the second division club if there was a “huge offer” in the winter.
