Hertha BSC: Ex-Ultra Kay Bernstein is the new president

It’s not entirely clear to me why Kay Bernstein, as a communications and events professional, should be unsuitable for a presidential post.
After all, the work in the association is all about: communicating, networking, organizing. So his job fits in perfectly.

One can be excited about the cooperation with the CDU man Windhorst, for whom Scheffel’s choice would have been more expedient.

However, if you saw how Scheffel had already made arrangements with opposing candidates, old club bosses and the investor in various back rooms before the election, Scheffel’s election would not have smelled like a new start, but rather rancid.

But even Bernstein will find it difficult to provide a new stadium. After all, something like that costs a decent nine-digit figure. It needs an external Horst who wants to invest around 300 million in the club.

As a neutral observer towards Hertha, I am very curious to see whether the new president will be able to establish a new spirit and solidarity in the near future. Here at TM that doesn’t sound like it.
