Few minutes in the squad
Deyovaisio Zeefuik (24) is about to say goodbye to Hertha BSC. The Berliners announced that the right-back has left the training camp in the USA and is being loaned to Hellas Verona in Serie A – subject to the medical examination and the signature. The Italians would secure a purchase option for the former Dutch youth international, it is said.
Zeefuik is in a difficult position under coach Sandro Schwarz. After returning on loan from Blackburn Rovers, where he was active in the second half of the previous season, he only made a brief appearance in the first round of the DFB Cup, which made him part of the squad Makes a pro with the fewest minutes. In the Bundesliga he was still on the bench on the first matchday before he was called up to the matchday squad again. Zeefuik switched from FC Groningen to the “Old Lady” for 4 million euros in 2020, for which he played a total of 35 games (one goal). A few months after his arrival in Berlin, the defender reached his career high of 5 million euros – he is currently valued at 1.5 million euros.
