Against training compensation
Hertha BSC have signed U19 goalscorer Gustav Christensen from FC Midtjylland. The 18-year-old winger, who has scored a five, a four and two hat-tricks this season, will sign in Berlin until 2027 and is said to only cost a training allowance of 250,000 euros.
Sports director Benjamin Weber describes the Dane as “an equally talented and exciting attacking winger” and attests the youngster’s “speed, will to fight and determination”. In the FCM U19s, Christensen proved that this season with an outstanding 31 league goals in 26 games. In Berlin it is hoped that he “will continue on this path in the blue and white jersey”. In the Danish youth league, Christensen took the top scorer’s crown with eleven goals ahead of the runners-up.
It remains to be seen to what extent Christensen can already play a larger role in the professional team. Fabian Reese (25) has already been confirmed as a new signing for the offensive flank.
