First South Korean for “Old Lady”
In search of an attacking winger, Hertha BSC apparently found what they were looking for in South Korea. Like the newspaper “Sports Chosunreported, Dong-jun Lee from Ulsan Hyundai is about to be transferred to Berlin.

Accordingly, there is already an agreement and the 24-year-old should complete his medical check-up on Saturday. The Korea Football Association confirmed, according to local media, that after the 1-0 win against Lebanon in the World Cup qualifier on Thursday, Lee “will travel to Germany separately from the team to have a medical check for a transfer to a German player at the player’s request Club to complete.” The return is planned for January 30th.

Lee moved from Busan IPark to the South Korean runners-up just a year ago, for whom he scored 12 goals in 37 games last season and prepared a further five goals. Hertha should use an exit clause that applies to European clubs. The Olympic participant also made his debut for the national team last year, for which he has played three international matches so far. Lee would be the first South Korean in the history of the Berlin club.
