Hermit has to go, rubbish pile is cleaned up
Mayor Dirk Walraet had a meeting with the Flemish Waterway and today they will clean up the pile of rubbish at the bridge of the Oudenaardseweg. Local residents have been complaining for some time because the leftover food also causes vermin.
It is still unclear what to do with the hermit himself. Previously he refused all help. He would have a home in Brasménil near Peruwelz in Hainaut, but does not want to live there. In any case, a solution is being sought for the man.
