USA’s Sha’Carri Richardson won the women’s 100m world championship with a blistering time of 10.65. The World Championship gold is the first for 23-year-old Sha’Carri Richardson. Richarson has spoken openly about the difficulties of his childhood. Raised by his grandmother, Richardson’s mother abandoned him as a child, and in high school Richardson attempted suicide.
