Iltalehti reported yesterday that the best-selling food at the World Hockey Championships in Tampere was Friends & Brgrs’ burger with ground beef steak. Friends & Brgrs does not provide sales data, but according to the information provided by the Group, as many as 26,000 burgers were sold.

CEO of Friends & Brgrs Peter Fagerholm says the burger has a bun, ground beef steak, iceberg lettuce, tomato, raw onion, cheddar cheese and Friend mayonnaise.
The Arena burger has been developed specifically for the Nokia Arena, it is not sold elsewhere. It is a combination of several burgers.

Normally, there are eight burgers on the Friends & Brgrs list, but the same doesn’t work in an ice rink. In about 20 minutes, a large mass of people have to be fed, so the speed is also due to the choice of three different burgers: minced meat, chicken or vegan.
However, the ingredients are the same as in other Friends & brgrs restaurants. The steak baked from fresh minced meat weighs 110 grams. According to Fagerholm, the Arena also grinds the steak itself.
