In more and more German cities it has been allowed to go swimming topless for some time – including Berlin and Cologne. In other cities, on the other hand, severe penalties can be imposed – even for bottomless swimmers …

The information platform OnlineCasinosDeutschland.com has compared the 30 largest German cities with each other and listed where fines are threatened and where there are even threats of evictions.

The fines for bathing without covering the female breasts are the highest in Hamburg and Nuremberg. The penalties can amount to up to 1000 euros for repeat offenders. At least five euros are required by the responsible authorities.

It can also be expensive in Karlsruhe: up to 500 euros! In Gelsenkirchen and Dortmund, fines of up to 100 euros are due, with the penalties being at least 80 euros in Gelsenkirchen and 50 euros in Dortmund.

Frankfurt, Essen, Braunschweig, Chemnitz, Berlin, Bochum and Cologne, on the other hand, make no distinction between male and female breasts and do not punish topless bathing.

Anyone who bathes without covering their intimate area is also punished most severely in Nuremberg and Hamburg with a fine of up to 1,000 euros. The same applies to the Saxon state capital Dresden.

Karlsruhe demands 500 euros as soon as the swimming trunks are missing. In Gelsenkirchen, Munich and Stuttgart the fines for swimming are below without being at least 80, 75 or 60 euros and a maximum of 100 euros each, in Bremen and Dortmund at least 50 euros.

Guests in cities such as Berlin, Cologne, Bonn, Wuppertal and Dresden may be expelled from the area if they bathe without covering their intimate area.

On the other hand, cities such as Chemnitz, Wiesbaden, Braunschweig and Aachen represent an open nudist culture. According to the analysis, no penalties are imposed for naked bathing.
