The riders themselves better have good legs on March 22, because a 207.6 kilometer course with 17 slopes and some tough cobblestone zones awaits them.
“Our slogan ‘always race’ really comes into its own on this circuit. We do have some road works. These are located in the first, flat, hundred kilometers. The climb of the Eikenberg also had to be replaced by the Ellestraat, because work is also underway on the Eikenberg. So we have a new eleventh slope of the day. The rest is the same as last year, with a thrilling finale towards the Stasegemsesteenweg in Harelbeke,” explained organizer Johan Wastyn.
Last year, Wout van Aert took his second victory in a row on the Stasegemsesteenweg. He left Mathieu van der Poel and Tadej Pogacar behind in a sprint with three.
