Baker and entrepreneur Erika Pou is proud of its cookie dough. And no wonder, it just won the Finnish recipe for success competition.

But even if there was no profit, Pouissa would still be proud of his recipe.

He loves it. The recipe has been with Poussa for a long time.

– It’s the best cookie dough in the world. The cookies turn out exactly as they should: crispy on the edge, sticky soft in the middle, Poussa describes.

Poussa developed the dough years ago for her big brother’s house parties. The cookies were an instant hit. Since then, Pou has baked them many, many times.

Now the cookies were charming Jyrki Sukulan and the entire Finnish recipe for success jury. According to Sukula, right from the first bite.

Poussa founded his company Bakerika when he was 17 years old, tomorrow, Wednesday, it will be ten years old. The cafe-bakery located in Helsinki’s Punavuori also sells chocolate cookies, of course.

The cookie dough sold in stores is made with the same recipe as the original Poussa cookies. Only vanilla has turned into vanilla sugar. Cookie dough is made at the contract bakery Siiskonen’s premises in Juva.

– When I first tasted the cookie dough prepared on the line, I realized that this really works, Poussa laughs – and continues:

– I recognized it as my own invention.

The Finnish recipe for success competition was not an easy project for Poussa. When running a company alone, you don’t always know how to divide the work, so Poussa’s ability to cope was somewhat strong. At the same time, I had to prepare the catering orders for the spring parties and plan the packaging of the frozen dough.

– Fortunately, the product has spoken for me, even though I haven’t always been able to. This is everything I want from homemade cookies.

Finns are a nation of inventors. According to Poussa, frozen cookie dough is for those moments when you can’t bring yourself to bake sticky soft cookies. They are also a good spare in the freezer or otherwise just for pampering moments.

In Finland, frozen dough has a season once a year. At Christmas, we buy a lot of both gingerbread and butter dough. Now this category is to be increased.

Pouissa is grateful for the opportunity he got and for having the courage to enter a sometimes challenging competition.

– When you love your product, others will surely love it too.
