Adam Sandler’s last year was successful. He became Hollywood’s highest-paid actor, according to Forbes. Sandler earned a record $73 million in 2023. The last time Sandler, 57, topped the Forbes list was in 2002.

Much of Sandler’s success can be attributed to the fact that he has a massive deal with streaming service Netflix. In addition to that, last year three films starring Sandler were very successful: Murder Mystery 2, You’re So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvahas well as an animated film Leo. Murder Mystery 2 was the fifth most watched movie on Netflix in 2023.

The second place on the Forbes list is a blockbuster movie Barbie’s star actress Margot Robbie. 33-year-old Robbie’s income was 59 million dollars last year. The Barbie movie was a huge success and set a box office record for Warner Bros.

In third place is 61-year-old Tom Cruise. He earned $45 million last year. Behind the success was, among other things, his latest Mission: Impossible – his film.

The fourth place is shared by two male actors: Ryan Gosling, 43, and Matt Damon, 53. Both earned a hefty $43 million in 2023. Gosling’s star moments on the big screen were also seen in the movie Barbie, while Damon was seen in another notable film: in Oppenheimer. However, most of Damon’s income came from a deal with Amazon when Air-film rights were sold to the Prime Video streaming service.
