Here between Noordhove and Seghwaert there will be a new roundabout

In the summer a new roundabout appears at the intersection between the space track and the Brusselskkerkkerk. The work takes a maximum of six weeks. In the meantime, motorists have to drive, pedestrians and cyclists can just continue.

The municipality constructs the roundabout for road safety. On the T-junction between the space track and the Brusselse Koolakker, a lot of traffic is already running every day. With the arrival of 81 flex homes along the space track, it is only getting busier there.

Summer so quieter

The municipality consciously opts for the quieter summer period when the contractor works on the roundabout. Due to the closure, they can lay the roundabout faster and therefore be ready faster. The closure lasts from Monday, July 21, 7.00 am to Friday 29 August 5 pm.

Detour

The Brussels sprouts and a part of the space track closes. The traffic is diverted via the Schansbaan and Akkerdreef. The Conferencepad, the Zegwaartseweg, the site of the Flex homes and the surrounding pedestrian and cycle paths remain accessible.

The detour to Noordhove is via the Oostweg, Willem Dreeslaan and Hugo de Grootlaan. Residents near the Brusselskoolakker. People from Seghwaert and Noordhove can also reach the neighborhood via the Asiaweg.
