The Iskelmä gala was celebrated at Nokia Arena in Tampere.

On Friday evening, Finnish music and its creators were celebrated at Tampere’s Nokia Arena, when artists were awarded in several different categories at the Iskelmä gala.
Listeners of Iskelmä music were able to vote in the annual vote organized in January for music performers and works in seven different categories: Iskelmä of the Year, Album of the Year, Band of the Year, Female and Male Artist of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
In addition to this, the Teosto Musician of the Year award and the Pro Iskelmä award chosen by the Iskelmä radio channel editorial board were awarded at the gala.
Lauri Tähkä received the most nominations at the gala. Tähkä was nominated in the Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year categories. In addition to this, Tähkä’s songs Everything has a meaning mixed Sleepy mornings were nominated in the Iskelmä of the Year category.
