Italian 50 Top Pizza has once again ranked European pizzerias.
Three Finnish pizzerias have been chosen as one of the 50 best in Europe: Forza and Luca from Helsinki and 450 degrees from Turku.
Forza is ranked 22nd, Luca 26th and 450 degrees 29th best.
Forza
Forza is a newcomer to the Finnish pizza field. There are two types of pizzas baked, round Neapolitan-style pizzas in a wood-fired oven and crispy Roman pizza in an electric oven. In addition, there are still rare deep-fried delicacies on offer in Finland, such as deep-fried pizza and arancinos.
Forza entrepreneurs Salla-Maria and Luca Platania have also founded the pizzeria Lucan.
In 2018, pizzeria Luca was chosen as the best pizzeria in Northern Europe in the same competition.

Since then, Platania has completely given up ownership of the pizzerias bearing its name. The restaurants are run by NoHo Partners.
The same company ‘s Copenhagen pizzeria Luca ranked 15th on the list.
Luca and the 450-degree pizzeria bake Neapolitan-style pizzas that are airy and soft on the bottom.

At the beginning of the year, Iltalehti visited a 450-degree pizzeria in the Turku Market Hall.
– The secret of our pizza is in the dough process. From the beginning, the flour and water are at a certain temperature, as is the room where the dough is made. The finished dough must also have a certain temperature, entrepreneur Angelo Tursi said then.
An Italian professional panel will map out pizzerias that meet the criteria for making an authentic Italian pizza.
After selection, they are also inspected, secretly and unannounced.
Pizzerias are selected for the competition on the basis of, for example, the recipe or the orthodoxy of pizza making. The pizza oven used in a restaurant, for example, is also one of the selection criteria.
