Restaurant industry professionals voted restaurant Palace as the winner of the 50 best restaurants in Finland list for the fourth time in a row, according to the press release of the Five Stars publication.
After Palace, in second place is BasBas from Helsinki. Third on the list is Turku’s Michelin restaurant Kaskis.
The other restaurants in the top ten are also from Helsinki. The fourth is Bistro Bardot and the fifth is Vinkkeli. Next are Creativity blossoms from chaos, Savoy, Grön, Café Savoy and Alexanderplats.
The professional of professionals is the chef patron of the restaurant Savoy Helena Puolakka.
The best change maker is a chef and restaurateur Kim Mikkola.
Newcomer of the year is Café Savoy and the most innovative restaurant Creativity blossoms from chaos. Both are from Helsinki.
The annual Finland’s 50 Best Restaurants list and voting is carried out by the horeca media Viisi Tähte.
Helsinki strengthens its position on the list of Finland’s 50 best restaurants. The Top 50 includes 33 restaurants from the capital and 17 from the rest of Finland. Many of the restaurants in the provinces unexpectedly dropped out of the top 50 list. A year ago, there were 19 restaurants outside of Helsinki.
– The restaurateurs have had a lot of work to keep their plots up, and it has taken time to integrate the ideas and repair movements that were born during the mandatory pruning breaks. It is absent from visits to other restaurants. This explains the concentration of restaurant choices in cities and e.g. The representation of Lapland, which had a strong presence in the polls, has decreased, reflects the editor-in-chief of Viisi Tähteä Media Eeropekka Rislakki in the bulletin.
The 50 Best Restaurants in Finland poll was held for the 15th time. The voters were almost 400 restaurant, beverage and food industry professionals as well as media representatives from different parts of the country.
