Her sister calls MTV awards show starring Johnny Depp ‘disgusting’

At times, jubilation and outrage at the appearance of a star are surprisingly close together. While neutral music fans worldwide welcomed Johnny Depp’s cameo as the Man in the Moon at MTV’s VMAs, there was sheer contempt elsewhere.

Whitney Henriquez, Amber Heard’s sister, posted a screenshot of the special MTV awards ceremony logo. And added an ominous letter: A capital “D”. So Whitney’s Twitter page now says “DVMA” — a reference to domestic violence. Johnny’s jokes as a job-seeking party entertainer met with little goodwill, at least in the Heard household.

Explaining this, she writes, “@MTV you guys are gross and must be really poor pans I REALLY HOPE NONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE HAVE DAUGHTER… #DVMAS #ISTANDWITHAMBERHEARD.”

The ambiguous letter abbreviation also stands for “Domestic Violence Myth Acceptance Scale”, a scientific research model on the effects of domestic violence. There is also a photo of Amber overlaid on Whitney’s font design.

It remains to be seen that the Heard family is clearly not happy with the MTV directors’ decision to project Johnny Depp as a funny, likeable space adventurer.

As is well known, Depp’s face was digitally superimposed on the likeness of a man in an astronaut costume. The space man hovered over the stage as soon as the award broadcast began. This was followed by Depp’s monologue, in which — irony, irony — he pointed out the fact that he would need work. And therefore available for pretty much every performance…

While Johnny Depp is on his way back to astronomically high-paying Hollywood roles, Amber Heard’s only option is to go back to court to appeal.
